Founder and Executive Director
Melody
Melody is passionate about substance use prevention and recovery because of her experience with her own daughter.
In 2013, Melody co-founded the group Life or Drugs, Tri-State Support.
She also works as a Advocate Supervisor for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of the Eastern Panhandle which advocates for children involved in abuse & neglect cases and as a program coordinator for Morgan County Partnership.
She graduated as a Medical Assistant and also obtained a Business/Computer Education certification from James Rumsey Technical Institute. She has received additional training in substance use disorders and prevention.
She is an instructor for Naloxone/Overdose Response and provides training to the community.
She serves as a volunteer in various roles within her community and was named a Woman of Distinction in 2020.

Prevention Facilitator
Heather
Heather is a Prevention Facilitator with Life or Drugs, Tri-State Support.
After working for the Department of Veterans Affairs for over 17 years, she has decided to shift her focus to assisting individuals with substance use disorder and their families within her community.
Heather is responsible for facilitating support groups, teaching others how to respond to overdose emergencies, prevention, outreach, and reducing stigma associated with substance use and mental health disorders.
Heather resides in Berkeley Springs along with her husband.They share a blended family with7 children and 5 grandchildren.
In her spare time, you will find her spending time with her family or reading.

Case Manager
Brittany
Brittnay is the Case Manager for Life or Drugs, Tri-State Support.
She is originally from Pennsylvania and now resides in Berkeley Springs, WV.
Brittnay has a passion for helping others and brings the energy and drive needed to assist those who are working on recovery. She is interested in this field because of her own personal experience growing up and how her life was affected from substance use disorders in her family.
Brittnay’s focus is to help those who have successfully completed a rehab program or who are post incarceration reintegrate into society. She helps with job placement, education, and assistance navigating services offered in community.
Brittnay is married and has two sons.

Peer Recovery Coach
Crystal
Crystal is a Peer Coach with Life or Drugs, Tri-State Support.
Crystal also works full-time as a Parent Resource Navigator assisting those who are involved with the judicial system.
Crystal is in long-term recovery and recently celebrated 13 years free from the chains of opiates/heroin.
She is passionate about pulling others from the fire she was once in and shows that second changes are possible by the life that she lives every day. She hopes that her example will help change the stigma surrounding those who suffer from substance use disorders.
Crystal has also discovered the therapeutic gift of farming and animal caretaking.
She has her family and small farm that brings her and those around her joy.

Board President
Jack W. Hiles
Jack W. Hiles, Pastor of Finding Grace Church (formerly Chapel of Praise) for 37 years.
He is currently President of Life or Drugs, Tri-State Support.
He is a standing member of the Board of Directors and an active member of the organization since it's inception.
Pastor Jack has been married for 47 years and has 3 children, 5 grandchildren and a great grandson due in December,
He is a native of Berkeley Springs and is committed to serving his community and being instrumental in allowing everyone to have a personal relationship with God.
